GCSE Art Talent on Display at St. Louis
The talent nurtured at the Art Department at St. Louis Grammar School, Kilkeel has received many accolades over the years. The current group of Year 12 students are certainly no exception to the rule as they opened their doors to exhibit this year’s GCSE Art work.
The work on display was again of the highest quality as the students showcased their hard work and effort of the last 2 years to family, friends and other members of staff. A wonderful variety of 2D & 3D, Fine Art and Design projects were on display, with an abundance of work reflecting a huge variety in media and themes.
Teacher in Charge of Art, Mrs Jayne was understandably proud of the efforts of her charges. She praised her students for their hard work and application, “to say I’m proud is a bit of an understatement, but I’m really delighted for their parents to see all their hard work come to fruition”.
For many of these students success at GCSE is but a stepping stone to great things as many of these students will return in September to embark on their AS level Art studies.
