Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business Studies
The Level 3 Extended Certificate in Applied Business from AQA will suit those pupils who excel at coursework. The Applied option does include some examination options and these will be decided in conjunction with the teacher. Pupils who have taken the Applied option in the past have achieved excellent results.
Mandatory Units:
- Unit 1 - Financial Planning and Analysis (Exam)
- Unit 2 - Business Dynamics (Coursework)
- Unit 3 - Entrepreneurial Opportunities (Controlled assessment)
At A2 you must complete the following mandatory units:
- Unit 4 - Managing and Leading People (Exam)
- Unit 5 - Developing a business proposal (Coursework)
Your teacher will choose from the following optional units:
- Unit 6 - e-Business implementation (Coursework)
- Unit 7 - Managing an event (Coursework)
- Unit 8 - Marketing Communications (Coursework)
Applied A Level Business Studies Entry Requirements
This qualification requires pupils to have:
7 GCSEs A*-C including English and Maths. Business Studies Grade B is required or grade B in English or related subject.
